Disappointment Stinks!

Rebekah woke up Thanksgiving morning. She came bounding downstairs. She has been sooo excited for Thanksgiving. She has been excitedly chatting about how great it was going to be for a couple of weeks now. We could not really understand why, but OK.

She went straight for the kitchen. She paused there, then quietly came next to me on the couch. She slumped into my arms and just sat very still for a moment. Then she quietly said, "Mom, it is really weird. There are no hearts, streamers, or candy on the table."

Luckily, I clued in immediately. She got Valentines day and Thanksgiving confused. She had been expecting a fun celebration and all she got a was messy kitchen getting ready for the feast. Sorry Babe! Disappointment stinks no matter what your age.

(If you can't imagine what she was expecting go to my Valentines post on Feb. 14)
