Open House

I find it so amazing at how much our kids learn in one year at school! We made our annual trek to the elementary school for Open House tonight. I am fortunate enough to have the kind of children who want to read EVERYTHING to you that they have done. Every sentence on every paper. As you sit back and watch the "show" you begin to realize how much information they have ascertained.

Jonah has great geography skills. (I think he knows his geography better than I. But that's not saying much.) He knows the animals indigenous to the lands too. He drew the Panda! I know he did not get his "art" ability from me. He has his dad to thank for those wonderful skills.

Jacob is most proud of a paragraph he recently wrote:
"If it is raining on Saturday and is raining too hard to play with friends, I would know what to do. First I would play video games. I would dominate my brother on the Wii. Also I would become a pro in boxing on the Wii. Then I would bother my sister if it is possible. I would get Nerf guns and fire Nerf bolets at her. I might play a joke on her. Finally, I would take a flight lesson. During the lesson I would take off. I will turn and try to land. In conclusion, I like rainy Saturdays."

I think it speaks for itself. He loves this piece of artwork he created. He titled it "the Einstein Horse". Have I mentioned before that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree?
