{Busted}

Jonah was busted this week, trying to hide inside his closet to avoid doing any work. Apparently he suffers from a rare allergy...being self diagnosed as being allergic to "work"!

Bummer for him, I discovered his real dirty little secret...What his closet looked like. Sad news for him was not only did he get discovered, I added one more chore to his list. Mental note, don't hide from mom in a dirty closet!

It Does Exist!

Never thought I would see it, not really sure I believed it existed, but there it is, the bottom of the laundry basket. Yea me! Too bad it will only last but a minute!

One Less Battle

If your kids are anything like mine you might find yourself re-folding their shirt drawer several times a week. I used to stack my kids shirts in their drawers, then in the morning they would unfold several shirts in their quest to get dressed.

Here's the kicker. Most of the time they left then unfolded shirts on the floor in front of their dresser. If I was lucky they would heap the clothes back into the drawer in one big crumpled pile. No hope of the drawer closing. Sweet eh? (I wish I had taken a picture of what this looked like before I made the change...but unfortunately I did not.)

Then I had complete and total inspiration. Don't mock me. This idea really rocks. I folded their shirts in the traditional box fold (you know, they way every store in America folds shirts), then folded it in half again. I then set these shirts, now folded into a compact little rectangle on their sides.

My hope was that if they could see ALL their options, the only shirt that would leave the drawer would be the one they were looking for. I gave this new theory a two week test run.
As you can see, after two weeks, it still looks great. Two weeks and counting and only had to refold ONE shirt! YAHOO! I am LOVING how clean their drawers look! Now maybe you are all much smarter than me, and already thought of this. But if you are struggling like I WAS try it!

What am I going to to with all this new found time???
