{Pumpkin Patch}

The kids had a random day off during the month of October and we headed out to the pumpkin patch


Rebekah, Jacob, Jonah

In the corn maze.  Jonah was a great Navigator.  Rebekah did NOT want to do this.  So she went with a friend to the slides.

Jonah insisted on trying the slides...he was disappointed.  He said he made the right choice going in the maze.

It was a fun day at the patch!

{Halloween Wrap up}

Friday morning Rebekah left a "note" on her window.  (She has this cool set of window markers that she got with the gift card Grandpa brought her from Texas.  Thanks Grandpa!)

Since this was on a window it was hard to get a photo that you could read, here's what it says:

She is so much fun.  She loves to play "teacher" and uses her window as her whiteboard.  So funny!

Before the Trunk or Treat we had some fun at our house with the Brandleys!   Dinner and cookies!  It was a really good time.  Damon - I promise to replenish the napkins before you come next time.  : )

 

Jonah, Jacob, and Rebekah decorating sugar cookies!  Yum!  They made some very "professional" looking cookies this year!  They tasted awesome too!

The cookie Rebekah made for Dad!  Rebekah sat at the table longer than any of the other kids decorating cookies.  She had a blast!  I guess it was the "art project" in it that kept her attention!  Good Job Rebekah!

After all the sugar cookies were decorated, we put on costumes and went to the Trunk or Treat at the church!

{Halloween Party}

Friday night we went to the BEST and I mean BEST Halloween party we have EVER been to!

Damon and Steph - it was GREAT!   (Damon was in costume too...he is just currently missing his chain saw and mask.  Thankfully it was a toy chain saw!)

Melissa and Ray...you made everyone LAUGH!  Good job!

This is from the "SPOOKY walk in the woods".  Steph was our tour guide through all sorts of mayhem!  It was a blast!  The kids LOVED it.  Damon and Melissa and Hannah tried their best to pop out and scare us!  FUN TIMES!

Isn't he cute?  I am so excited for fall.  I am pretending we are having fall like weather...

Best Halloween Ever!

This year was the very best Halloween EVER! We had a blast. Mandy and Brady drove up from Fresno. Stephanie and Damon came over, and even though she was very tired from a horse show, we convinced Melissa to come also!!

This was our attempts to get all the kids in one picture. It was chaos. I was laughing so hard. We NEVER got the shot. So, here are several misses...

Here's the post "game" festivities. We had a fire, told ghost stories, made s'mores (because big buckets of candy are not enough sweets...), and had a really good time.

Did anyone notice a very important person missing from all the photos? Hannah ditched us! I am so heartbroken. She had a blast with her friends. She did not miss us at all, but we did miss her.

Three Spooky Pumpkins

Three spooky pumpkins! Jacob made a scary one, Rebekah a happy one, and Jonah wanted and in between one! They are so proud of what they carved this year. Good Job!

Pumpkin Patch

If you were to ask me why I love California my answer is bound to include how much I love the weather out here. It is open window weather so much of the year.

For the past 12 years we have gone on field trips to the pumpkin patch. We have always been warm. Never once have we been rained on, until...October 2009.

Rebekah has been looking forward to this field trip since August. She has been talking about this trip daily. She was so excited to be the "one" the trip was about. Then the rains started. Let's just say it was not the trip she envisioned. Slightly more mud than I wished for too.

Here are the kids jumping on a hay stack, hoping the rain will stop long enough to get into the field for a pumpkin.
