{Last day of School 2013}

Today was the last day of school.
Jacob has finished Middle School!
We had the honor of attending a great promotion ceremony for him today.

Jacob receiving his certificate from one of his teachers.

Four great friends.  Maria, Tyler, Daniel, and Jacob (if you noticed, yes he has TWO medals on his chest!  He did a wonderful job academically the past three years.  One medal is for straight A's all three years, the other is for Social Studies student of the year!

Buddies...dorks too

We could not be more pleased with this kid!

The last day also brings a fun tradition, busting through a sign into summer.  This year Rebekah made our sign.  Great Job Rebekah!!

The boys waiting for their sister...

Here she comes!

Ready, Set, RUN

And Summer has Started.  Let the late nights and late mornings begin!!

{Mother's day}

Mother's day 2012 was the best ever!  I was spoiled rotten!!!
 Richard and the kids really out did themselves this year.

After breakfast in bed and presents I was told I need to see something outside.
I opened the front door to this:

 Yep, Hannah, Jacob, and Rebekah decorated the driveway!  Jonah decided not to help because he had already made me a present!  So funny.
(It was a shrinky dink key chain caricature of me, vacuuming...according to him my favorite thing to do.)

The kids wrote some really sweet things for me!!!  Of the "10 reasons why we love our mom"  I think "she can pick great things at the $1store" has got to be the funniest!  I have a talent ya know!

The whole day was a lot of fun.  We laughed, played, and I did not cook a single thing or do a single dish!!  What a great day!

Me and the kids, straight from bed, in all our glory!

Thanks for making it one of the best mother's day I have ever had!!

{Random Christmas Pics}

I just don't know what my problem is lately, I can't get motivated to update the blog.  Anyway, Christmas as AWESOME this year.  We had a ton of fun.

They boys at Steph's house Christmas Eve

Damon and Steph

Richard and I
Hannah and Melissa - sorry not to include your photo.  NOT A SINGLE ONE was clear.  boo.

post pinata...Richard thought it made a cool hat

CANDY!

Presents.  If you are looking and think is that soda and pop tarts, yes it is.  What can I say, my kids ask for food for christmas every year.  Cream Soda and pop tarts.  It just would not be Christmas if Santa did not bring them that!

Ok, I was having a ton of camera issues this christmas.  I know this is not super focused, but it is the clearest of the first look at the loot!

Richard got a head lamp.  Here's the best thing, he uses it ALL the time.  He's so funny!

All in all we had a great time as a family.  Merry Christmas...in February!

{a few pics}

 In preparation for our Christmas card we had some photos taken.  I love them.  Jillian took our pictures and she did and outstanding job.  Everyone in the family is happy with how they look!  Our Christmas Miracle!

Rebekah - I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture!
Is anyone else out there a bit shocked she is getting baptized in a few weeks? Time is flying by!
Jacob - wow look how "old" he is getting, really!
Jonah took several GREAT pics!  WOW!
Hannah never takes a bad picture.

The whole family.  I love these guys!

{Surprise package}

Does this label look familiar to anyone else? Bring back memories?  Anyone else a child of the 80's?

I got a surprise package in the mail the other day. I opened it and out came these beauties.  Wow, true blue vintage, 1986 Bongo jeans, that I wore, and wrote on (to be cool). Nice eh? My friend from HS's mom was cleaning out her closet (yeah like 20 years these things have been in her old closet) and thought I would get a kick out of them. She was right.  I laughed, squealed, and had a fun walk down memory lane.  I think Richard is worried...
Notice all the "cool" bands?  (Everything is on these pants from INXS, The Smiths and The Cure to Berlin!)
Check out the high waistband. Hannah says they fit like a glove. (Although the high waist is very uncomfortable to her). These pants are a keeper. She has laughed at me all day.  Don't worry.  I'll get my revenge.  I keep something of hers...and send it to her in 20 years.  How cool will those low riders and Uggs be then?

Next 80's day I have pants you can borrow!

{I won}

I have never been able to say this before, but I was a winner! Really! I won a darling necklace on the blog Dandelion Wishes from the etsy shop Lychee Kiss!

When my envelope arrived I giggled like a school girl. To make my ultimate fantasy come true, I would have loved for it to be marked "fragile", so I could have said "Fra-jille' must be Italian!"

It was not, but the return address was Honolulu. Insert giggling here. Honolulu!

Here's the contents from my envelope:

Cute!  Candy too!  Boy a double win!  (Richard stole the candy though since it is like what he ate in Japan...)

Here it is! I heart it! My daughter sweetly modeled it for me here. She wants to borrow it...she'll have to wait.

Thank you Mamarazzi and Lychee Kiss. I feel so lucky. 2011 is gonna be great!

{New Hair}

Hannah has been playing around with Rebekah's hair and she has a new look.  Hannah straightens it with the flat iron.  It makes her look so much older.  We all love it.

Moma's got a new hair do too...last week I cut over 12 inches off my hair.  (Yes that is my pony tail.  It is currently on its way to Locks of Love!)  All three Heninger girls have basically the same hair cut now.  Only difference is mine is the shortest now.
