A little Discussion

Most people these days are talking about the amazing swimmer Michael Phelps. Everyone is enjoying watching his races at the Olympics. Us included. We talk about his great achievements and easy going style. My boys are talking too. Oh they are talking about Phelps but it has nothing to do with his swimming. They are talking about his name.

Here's the reader's digest version of how it went down as far as I can tell:

Jacob, "It is Michael Phelps, NOT Phillips"

Jonah, "You're wrong it is Phillips"

Jacob, "NO IT IS NOT! IT IS PHELPS. "

Jonah, "YOU ARE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT..."

Jonah was in tears when the boys walked through the door after school Thursday. Both boys were hot fired mad. Why Oh Why!?! Why does Jonah get so uptight about Michael Phelps name??? By the way for several hours he still insisted he is right. (Insert deep breath...) I was wrong, the newspaper was wrong, the internet was wrong, thank heavens for the broadcast and they flashed his name in his lane! Finally he believed! I guess he does have a lot of "the Linford boy" in him...he's gotta be right even when he is wrong!

It is morning now, Jonah can laugh at how sill he was. We are left wondering what will set him off next time. One never knows.
