As many of you know, I have been growing my hair. It has gotten really long. I WAS so close to being able to donate it to Locks of Love...until today.
With my 20 year High School re-union on the horizon I decided to get my hair trimmed. You know, put a little style back into my hair. I wanted it to look lovely. A friend of mine has this stylist that she LOVED. So, I thought I would try him out since I am in the market for a new stylist. I made the appointment and, I did not receive a great hair cut. Instead I left the salon with...drumroll please... a MULLET!!!! I kid you NOT. Hannah was laughing so hard I thought she was going to wet her pants. NOT cool. I got home, and walked stright into my bathroom, pulled out my scissors and cut another 4 inches off (THE BACK) to free my hair of the dreaded mullet. WHO cuts hair like that really?
Here is the second kicker, the stylist said to me as I was leaving, "You look hot!"
Are you kidding me? Who looks hot with a mullet? NOBODY does. Is he blind? Just trying to make up for his HUGE error???
My kind friend Stacey said, "Well surely this is not the hair style any of us would like to have, but it is not THAT bad..." She always puts a positive spin on it, But, there was not positive spin to be had. At least I had her famous pumpkin chocolate chip cookies waiting for me at home to console me. Yes they tasted even better when I totally felt like a redneck.
When I called Richard at work he answered the phone with, "Hey Billie Raye - how's the mullet?"
Billie Ray Cyrus and I had the same hair style (can you even call that a style?) What a day!

What? No pictures of YOUR mullet? Bummer. Sad to hear you paid for a bad haircut. What a drag. Hope you can get it fixed.
I have to set the record straight since Laurie did not post pictures... It was not a "Business up front, Party in the back" type mullet, which is what I envisioned when she first called me. It was just long layers, with one extra long layer underneath. Still, I could understand the trauma, especially since Locks of Love now can't have her beautiful hair :(
Where are the pictures of your mullet? I am so sorry there is nothing any more traumatic than a bad haircut.
OOOOh. That's not fun. I had a mullet myself not all that long ago. I was about to have a baby and didn't have time to do anything about it so I wore a ponytail for a while and then had Taunie come over and chop off the back. Good times. I feel your pain.

OH MAN!! I missed it!! I think you need to post pictures of it.. just so we get the full effect!! I'm sure you still looked good.. You could totally pull the mullet off!!! How's work?? Hope all is well!!
