Girls weekend

I had the best weekend! It was more fun that I can remember having for a very long time. I went out of town with just the girls for THREE WHOLE DAYS!!! It was great! It all began when AMY GREENE (we miss her so much) flew in to spend the weekend here in CA! We left that evening picking up Laurie C, and Stacey on the way and went to Monterey! The beach is so peaceful and calm. I loved sitting on the balcony every morning just listening to the waves. The only noise was the ocean and birds. It was hypnotic. I loved it. The smell, the breeze, the quiet. Somehow I could not sleep in like the others, so instead of sleep, I got some amazing morning time with my thoughts.

Then, we SHOPPED. I am talking marathon shopping unlike anything you have ever witnessed before! Someone, who shall remain nameless bought enough clothing at GYMBOREE that she took an entire duffel bag (of the larger variety) home, stuffed with clothes and that was not even all her Gymboree loot! Believe it or not we spent...12 hours at the mall. Yikes that was only day one of the shopping bonanza! I can't even remember the last time I was eating dinner at a restaurant at 9:30 at night!

I somehow became the "personal shopper". I guess all that Nordstrom training paid off. I like that title. I can think of far worse they could have called me.



We called this picture our "Mistake, big mistake" picture...(From Pretty Woman...) For all those of you out there that decided not to come with us. Your loss.

My favorite purchase by far was this below...watch the movie! (be sure to pause the music or you won't understand why it is so cute!)I bought it for my Star Wars loving boy who turns 10 in a few weeks. He is gonna LOVE it!

Thank you Stacey for organizing this, and letting us stay in the amazing condo on the beach! Thank you Amy for flying out! Thank you Laurie C. for providing us all with such great humor! I even got called a "BFF" this weekend...I have not been that since the 4th grade. I am honored! I will cherish the title!
