Years and Years

20 years ago - Fall 1988

1. I had just started my Sr year at Grapevine High School.
2. I wore "Forever Red" lipstick every Friday night...and high kicked with the best of 'em.
3. I drove a 1977 white Datsun B-210...she was a beaut!
4. I helped make the class homecoming float for the first time.
5. I ate a Twix candy bar with a diet coke EVERY day for lunch.

10 years ago - Fall 1998

1. I was about to pop...Jacob was born that October.
2. I was working at Ernst and Young, LLP.
3. I experienced one of my life's most embarrassing moments...I was in the in the very slippery alley behind my office and I totally lost my balance, and slipped. I landed in the splits, ripping my dress all the way up to my waist. Have you ever seen a very pregnant woman on the ground? She DOES NOT get up very gracefully. I had to roll onto all fours, then get up with my butt totally exposed since my dress was ripped. Did I mention that I was with 4 or 5 MEN from the office?? NICE...
4. I was having a love affair with Fresca and cranberry juice mixed together.
5. We had just bought our first three pieces of "nice furniture" from Ethan Allen.
   

5 years ago - Fall 2003

1. I was about to pop...again. Rebekah was born that December.
2. I was (and still am) working at Nordstrom.
3. I discovered what a true friend was and unfortunately wasn't...why did that take me so long in life???
4. I bought a new table for the Dining Room - The expanding family prompted it...our family of six could not fit at a table made for four!
5. I slipped off a ladder at work and somehow landed on my fat swollen pregnant feet - but scared the bah-gee-bees out of my coworker.

This year so far:

1. I am planning way too many trips. I have such a hard life...Beach weekend with the girls, Sister's weekend, TX for my little sister's wedding, and finally the grand finale is for Richard and I alone...we are going to MAUI! ALOHA (said in your best tank top voice with a wink wink)
2. My favorite gadget had to be "Rosie" our Roomba
3. I am the PTA treasurer - I have to admit I am having way more fun doing it than I ever thought I would...laugh if you want. I can take it.
4. I've started teaching my last child to read. YIKES
5. I've given up sugar at least 100 times...I have not been successful - yet.
